A new city audit says Kansas City’s bicycle transportation plan is inadequate. It does not accomplish the goal for making the bicycle a viable way to get around town. It’s just lines on a map.
City government, therefore, has little to no chance of reaching the City Council’s goal of achieving national recognition as a platinum-level bike friendly community by 2020. This according to the city auditors in the report that will be discussed Thursday at a City Council committee meeting.
