Lakewood approves new definition of bicycle, will allow quadricycles on city streets

After months of discussion, and a change in transportation code at the state level, the city has decided to mirror the State of Ohio’s definition of a bicycle, which defines a bicycle as a device propelled by human power with two or more wheels.

The Ocean City bike auction will be held 10 a.m.-noon Monday, July 22, with a rain date, of July 23, at 1 Shelter Road. Registration begins at 9 a.m. A driver’s license, passport or valid identification will be required to register. Payments must be made with bank checks, traveler’s checks and cash only.
