The Oak Park Village Board voted Monday to move forward with a new law to require children under 17 to wear helmets while cycling in the village. As proposed, the law would cite violators but not fine them, according to a recommendation from the Oak Park Board of Health.
Four More Green Waves Coming to San Francisco Streets

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) announced that it would be installing four new “Green Waves” to San Francisco streets by the Spring of 2014. On streets with green waves, the lights are timed at bicycle speed (usually 13-15 mph), allowing people on bike to encounter a series of green lights as they pedal down the bikeway.
