The Happy Ride seat cover contains a vibrating stimulator, that can be controlled via a panel switch, and is designed to simply slide, inconspicuously, over your cycling seat.

Margate, Ventnor to auction recovered bicycles

The bicycles were either found, or recovered by police during investigations of crimes. The bicycles have been in possession of the department for at least six months and the owners are either unknown or cannot be found.

New bike path plans aim to make Atlanta more bicycle-friendly

The Atlanta mayor and City Council want to make the city more bicycle friendly and recently allocated $2.5 million for 26 projects designed to increase safety and the number pedal powered commuters.

Nutcase Helmets at the Portland Art Museum

The Portland Art Museum has a new bike exhibit running from June 8 through September 8th showing off some 40 bicycles from pivotal points in bicycle design, as selected by collector and designer Michael Embacher. In conjunction with the Cyclepedia exhibit, Portland-based Nutcase Helmets donated 475 helmets to be used as an outdoor display, creating a pretty stunning entrance.

500 loaner bikes pitched for bicycle-unfriendly city

Ask a bicyclist, and you quickly learn: Atlanta has a bicycle problem. Undaunted by such stories, the city is taking steps to create a bike-share program. Mimicking similar programs in New York and San Francisco, Atlanta is taking proposals from private companies and nonprofits to create a network of bike stations — where users can grab a bike, ride it, and drop it at another bike station.

News of the bike path bolt problems on the new Bay Bridge eastern span had us dismayed, and not because we were looking forward to cycling from the East Bay to Treasure Island and back again (because we’re not especially looking forward to that). It’s on account of the general “Oh, crap, bad bridge” feeling that goes along with such news.
