The bike brand is a Founding National Sponsor and a continued Platinum Level supporter, and will provide a combination of product and cash for NICA’s 2014 season.
Carnegie Science Center exhibit explores just what makes bicycles roll

Carnegie Science Center’s newest exhibit, “BIKES: Science on Two Wheels.” Spanning two centuries of innovation and design, the show draws a diverse group of patrons ranging from hard-core cycling enthusiasts to parents sharing memories of their first bike with their children. The exhibit, which runs until Jan. 1, also introduces the underlying scientific principles that have transformed the bicycle into what it is today.
Folsom Street bicycle pilot project puts down more green bike lanes

Folsom is a major bike route from the Mission to downtown SF, and it has featured a heavily-used bicycle lane for years now, but this re-configuration creates a wider, buffered lane along the right-hand side. One traffic lane has been removed for this project, and the SFMTA says it is not expected to affect parking and will present “no significant delay to motorists on Folsom Street or in the area due to the pilot project.”
Bicycle Use Booming in Latin America

“I ride 43 km a day and I love it,” said Carlos Cantor in Bogotá, Colombia. “Five years ago I switched my car for a bike,” explained Tomás Fuenzalida from Santiago, Chile. They are both part of the burgeoning growth of cycling as a transport solution in Latin America. But in the second-most urbanised region in the world, public sentiment towards bicycles is mixed, with some seeing them as a symbol of low socioeconomic status, says the “Biciciudades 2013” study by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) with regard to the expansion of this sustainable means of transport in large and medium-sized cities in the region.
