Among the things Petaluma and Sebastopol have in common is a large community of avid bicyclists and hikers. But as of yet, there’s no trail to connect the two cities, which are about 11 miles apart as the crow flies.
County to resurface Marin bike and pedestrian paths

Marin County has received $118,000 in federal transportation funds enabling resurfacing of bike and pedestrian pathways along parts of the Mill Valley-Sausalito path from Gate 6 Road to Vasco Court, portions of the Corte Madera Creek path from Bon Air to Lagunitas roads, and the Bacich School pathway from Sir Francis Drake Boulevard to Creekside Park.

A crackdown Friday on bicycle and pedestrian violations in Petaluma resulted in the city’s traffic officers handing out 57 tickets and 18 warnings.
